""Listen!
Marriage is not a welfare program! Don't get married to someone because you pity them. It is one of the worst mistakes you can make in your life!
I often meet singles who perhaps are drawn to someone who is not born again or someone who lacks integrity or someone who has a really bad temper, or someone whom they have been in a relationship with for so long, or someone who just happens to be the only option for marriage, and when I advise them to think twice, their answer is usually 'but if I don't marry him/her, who will'? If that is your situation now, I think you should hold on.
God doesn't need you to rescue anybody through the avenue of marriage. Marriage was created among other things, to give us help however it should not be entered into because you feel you are that persons last hope or because you feel sorry for them. Yes; help people, be there for them but don't feel obligated to marry them on such basis. If you choose to do so, you have to be ready for the consequences it brings. But please know that is not how to have a lasting marriage.
You must have strong reasons, and better yet a conviction from the Holy Spirit that gives you peace and an assurance that whom you have chosen to marry is the right one for you. Don't make your marriage a charity case! You will be doing yourself a great disservice. Be futuristic! Remember, this is a lifelong matter. Marrying out of pity means you are already building on shaky foundation and if the foundation is destroyed, even the righteous are in trouble. Your life and destiny are too precious to use as an experiment. The choice is absolutely yours" - Excerpt from a Courtship Foundation Class teaching by Kemi Oyedepo
