Christianity is not just a belief
nor a religion (going to church and programs) but a life, a relationship with
your creator. Christianity is real; it is all about making your life please the
giver of the life (Almighty God). Dear readers please don’t see Christianity as
just going to church or programs but rather see it as a need for you to have a
relationship with your creator. At this point I will like to define
Christianity as a way of nurturing or practicing the nature of Christ Jesus our
lord, Jesus left some standard (his nature) for us to follow before He left, He
knew very well that we can’t do these things by ourselves (flesh) that way He
promised us another comforter to help us in nurturing, practicing and following
His own nature. Therefore for us to be able to follow or practice Jesus nature
we need to be in a relationship with Him and not just going to church because
you were born in a Christian family.“NURTURING THE NATURE OF CHRIST IS THE CULTURE OF THE HIS CREATURES”
If the nature of Christ is so
important in Christianity then what is that nature of Christ i.e. the standard
Christ left? Well, am sure we all know the answer to that question which is
HOLINESS. Holiness is neither a day job to acquire nor a year job; it is a
continuous process that is why our relationship with Christ must get stronger
day by day.
“HOLINESS
THE NATURE OF CHRIST”
Dear reader, do
you think that holiness are for foolish people who have nothing better to do or
you feel that they are for some set
of people and not for others. Am sure
you would have heard one or two persons come to preach on the message of the
cross to you but you end up seeing it as
a waste of time, or something that is not met for you or you keep saying “one day I will”.
(1 Corinthians 1:18 says; For the message of
the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being
saved it is the power of God).
(1
Corinthians 2:14 says; but the natural man does not receive the things of the
spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know they them,
because they are spiritually discerned).
We have been
called into Christianity (John 15:16 says Ye have not chosen me, but
I have chosen you, and ordained you, that yet should go and bring forth
fruit……)
Christianity consist of
individuals that follow after Christ Jesus, can you check out yourself and say
you are following after Jesus, following after Jesus is not all about going to
church or been a worker in the church, it all about having a relationship with
Him. Christ will totally be a stranger to you if you don’t have a relationship
with Him. (This is mostly the reason why people take for granted the things of
God). Who will you call someone you don’t know before or someone you don’t have
a relationship with before? (A FRIEND OR A STRANGER). Please lets always learn
to go by the definition of terms; you can never allow a stranger into your
secret place but you will allow someone you surly know (A FRIEND). Verse 15 of
the above passage says that “I call you not servant; for the servant
knoweth not what is lord doeth; but I have called you friends, for all things
that I have heard of my father I have made known onto you.” Jesus
called us friends at this particular verse, for all the things he has heard of
God He will make known to us but that can’t be possible if there is no
relationship with him and as mentioned earlier He called us friends but who do
we see Him as (A FRIEND OR A STRANGER). Well it is left to us to either accept
or deny the calling of Christianity. BE INSPIRED.
